Behind the scenes
How Templio works
Templio gives you an inbox for a moment. Under the hood, we connect to a trusted temporary email provider to generate disposable addresses and fetch messages for you in a clean, simple interface.
1. Generate a temporary email
When you click “Generate new email”, Templio:
- • Requests a domain from our third-party temp-mail provider.
- • Creates a random local-part (like templioabc123).
- • Combines them into a full address (for example, templioabc123@example.com).
- • Stores a secure session token in your browser only (sessionStorage).
2. Use it anywhere you’d share email
Copy the generated address and paste it into any signup or download form where you don’t want to use your main inbox. This keeps marketing emails and spam away from your real address.
3. Check your temporary inbox
When you open the Inbox Viewer, Templio:
- • Uses your session token to securely fetch messages.
- • Shows a list of recent emails (sender, subject, preview).
- • Lets you open a message in full to read the content.
- • Lets you delete messages you no longer need.
4. Security & privacy basics
- • Templio is designed for one-time or low-risk signups.
- • Don’t use temporary emails for banking, 2FA, or critical accounts.
- • We don’t ask you to register or create a password for Templio itself.
- • We never recommend entering sensitive data on suspicious websites.
